UX Chronicles #1: The Transition

After 2 years in front end web development, I decided to take a leap into a new path… An interesting path… A creative path, a path I’m willing to go all in, a step closer to co-create with the creator.

As a front end web developer, I know how important it is to learn about User Experience and how it relate with the products I’m building.

I started off on my own, learning with a few resources I found online, and few weeks later, I stumbled on a design bootcamp by Cowry Wise, which I saw as a sign from above.

Last week was our introduction, with our instructor, Dums. It was the most interesting class I’ve attended in a long while, very knowledge packed, interactive while at the same time fun.

The First Lecture

In our first class, we delved into Human Computer Interaction, and a brief about UI/UX, after which we were split into teams.

My team, consists of I and 3 wonderful women (IJ, Urenna and Hilda) who I’ll be working with on projects over the next few weeks.

I’m really excited about what the future holds, cos I know it will be nothing less than bright (Y’all will need glasses for this one😄)

It won’t be easy, but I’ll stick to the course

Up until the point were it turns to a success story.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be writing more about my journey into the design space. Wish me luck 🤲🏼
